LCMS - Lutheran Church Missouri Synod
Our Mission In grateful response to God's grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacraments, the mission of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod is vigorously to make known the love of Christ by word and deed within our churches, communities and the world. The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) is a mission-oriented, Bible-based, confessional Christian denomination headquartered in St. Louis, Mo., founded on the teachings of Martin Luther.

South Sudan Lutheran Church Mission
The South Sudan Lutheran Church Mission (SSLCM) was formed on March 31, 2013 in partnership with clergy from South Sudan and the LCMS Indiana District. SSLCM leaders are serving under the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), and reside in Kentucky, Michigan and North Dakota. The SSLCM is establishing its permanent headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky at 4205 Gardiner View Avenue and will open a new mission center in Mareng, Jonglei State, South Sudan. The mission has been formed with the desire to bring all South Sudanese Churches with ties to the LCMS under one umbrella in order to unify their outreach and to assist the growth of the LCMS in South Sudan. Emphasis will be placed on reaching Sudanese immigrants and other immigrants as well. The South Sudan Lutheran Church Mission is recognized as an authentic Christian ministry that will work in accordance with LCMS doctrine. It has been established through consultation with the Indiana District's President, Rev. Dr. Daniel P. May, the Rev. Dr. Curtis Peters, Rev. John Loum of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and other LCMS officials. There are two areas of which this mission relies on a collective effort from the Districts. First and foremost is missionary outreach. Missionary work is an obligation of all who follow our Lord Jesus Christ (see Matthew 28:19-20). The SSLCM will place a high priority on those called to bear witness for the love of Christ to a hurting and disillusioned world, wherever our duty lends. The second need is for Christ-centered stewardship of all of our resources. All will be called upon to use their gifts to express gratitude to God for His love and to build His kingdom. As Jesus taught, "Use your worldly resources to benefit others and to make friends, in this way your generosity stores up a reward for you in heaven."

Creation Museum
The state-of-the-art 70,000 square foot museum brings the pages of the Bible to life, casting its characters and animals in dynamic form and placing them in familiar settings. Adam and Eve live in the Garden of Eden. Children play and dinosaurs roam near Eden's Rivers. The serpent coils cunningly in the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Majestic murals, great masterpieces brimming with pulsating colors and details, provide a backdrop for many of the settings.
