Pastor Andrew Becker was born and raised in Kansas. He attended Emporia State University, where he graduated with a dual degree in History and Political Science. After college, he worked in a variety of fields, including defense, radio, and mechanics. He met his wife Amy while they were both students at Emporia State. Amy graduated with a degree in Sociology, and then went on to get her Master's in English Literature. Andrew worked as a diesel mechanic while Amy was in school.
After the birth of their first child, the Beckers moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, where Andrew attended Concordia Theological Seminary. He graduated in 2003 with his Master's in Divinity. His first call was to Zion/Our Redeemer Lutheran Churches in western Kansas. He served there as Pastor, Circuit Secretary, and Kansas District Counselor for the LWML. God then called him to serve at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Concordia Lutheran School in Michigan. He was then called to serve God at Faith Lutheran Church in Buena Vista, Colorado. He is now the Pastor of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Georgetown, Indiana. Amy currently works for IUS in New Albany.
